Message	of an entire generation, if not more with the incredibly shortsighted philosophy that they could live off of exhorbitantly marked-up gas-chugging trucks. Going to take a long long time to undo the damage done. People are irrationally finicky for the most part about cars and wont just abandon their mental image of GM and their crap cars. Neither will toyota and hyundai along with other asian companies, simply give up their market shares and ambitions. Thank God Nissan isnt as dumb as GM, that alliance would have been cancerous. Aside from fiscal benefits that may not have manifested themselves into any actual hardware on the road, I couldnt understand what Nissan good have benefitted from.
